My Last Day

*Sniff* What a lovely day I've had at work! I miss them all already.

Went for lunch with the Boss today, we drove to Caton and had a pub lunch (more yummy scampi and sticky toffee pudding! One happy, dancing Wiggle Bump) and nattered about everything from my new roll when I come back, to all about Wiggle and our plans/experiences, to his attempts at converting my to be a Witness (fighting a loosing battle there Boss, but feel free to try anyway) and back again. Odd combination of topics, but fun anyway.

When we got back to the office we all gathered together in the Ops Office where Boss gave a little speech about ow wonderful I am (beam), how I will be sorely missed (glow) and read a letter that came this morning from one of my sites singing my praises and mourning the fact that I would not back at site visitor when I return (smug). 

Then I was given a lovely bunch of flowers, and a box of Thornton's chocs, and a card signed from the guys and gals in the office, and hugged by all! Shortly after Joe came over and handed me another bag with a gift for baby in from him and his wife - a pram toy with sounds and textures that just happens to be the exact same brand as our pram! Perfect!

Everyone has been so nice and said such lovely things. I was so close to just bursting into tears with the whole thing, and even though I was then free to clear off home at any point if I wanted to found myself staying around to help tie up loose ends and finish off bits of training (well, actually to have a good old natter with everyone under the guise of working). Eventually came away. I have a few peoples emails so we can keep in touch without going through the works email too. 

I was also invited to the Ops Session at Boss's house on Thursday and - so long as Wiggle isn't on the way that day - I may well just go along! The people I work with are so nice and so much fun that I will actually MISS going to work and spending time with them!
