TTC when BFing

A while ago I mentioned trying to conceive while still breastfeeding. At the time George was feeding 2-3 times a day. Now he's dropped to just the one feed a day, as part of his bedtime routine. He doesn't have much then these days.

So... the question is... Will this ONE breastfeed a day affect my fertility?

Hopefully not. From what I've read on sites like iVillage and KellyMom. Since George is now over a year old, and only feeds once a day - and not very much at that - I should have almost my full fertility back. In fact it's more likely to be the contraceptives I've used since (the implant and pop pill) what would be having an impact on my fertility now.

I've been reading a bit on trying-to-conceive.com too which backs this theory up. According to them cutting out night feeds and other feeds (but not all, so if you're in my situation but still feeding more, don't worry), or even just chopping and changing the timings of feeds can encourage fertility back, as can supplementing feeds with solid food and other drinks.

As I said in my last post "Waiting Game" I have had a visit from Aunt Flo around the right (expected) time but it was fleeting. I'm temping every day at 6.30 am and checking my CM too. It's changed from dry to sticky... I'm taking this as a good sign. Hopefully within the week it will change again to watery and a few days later it should be more like egg white. If it is I'll be a bit more confident that my cycles are getting back to normal. I do know that none of this is certain to happen, and if it does it doesn't have to mean that I've ovulated. But it's a start.

I'm glad that still feeding George shouldn't be affecting anything. I would LOVE to be able to tandem feed!
